Whether you’re a creative pro or trying it for the first time,
everyone can create a one-of-a-kind Lunar New Year lantern!

• Entry format: Individual or Team
• Open to: Families, friends, after-school programs, learning centers, and community groups

Judging

• People’s Choice Award: Selected by on-site guest voting

Exhibition & Artwork Pickup

• All lanterns will be displayed at the 2026 Lunar New Year Lantern Blessing Festival
• Lanterns may be picked up after Feb. 22, 2026, at 5:00 PM
• Lanterns will be held until Mar. 22, 2026

Originality & Safety

• Lanterns must be original creations
• No open flames, glass, or sharp materials
• Parents/teachers may assist for safety purposes only

The event organizer reserves the right of final interpretation.

Workshops

We will host workshops from 1:00-3:00 PM on Saturday January 24 and January 31 at 919 Hanson Ct, Milpitas. Welcome to join us and make your very own lantern with other passionate builders!
